It's so cool, that the depression lead to a new start in life, refreshing everything. Sometimes we have to pass the dark night of the soul to improve our lives.

Nice to meet you Olusegun. There are so many pathways out of depression. Art is one of the best. So is writing of course. I took a look at a few of your posts. Love the one regarding entrepreneurs.

So true! It could also be a combination of many things/activities. The most important thing is getting out of it. Glad you also liked the post on Entrepreneurs. Thank you

You might find my stack of interest. It was inspired by an east african friend. He wanted to apply western psychological theory to his experience growing up in Africa. Current western psych is overly influenced by pharma. Psych theory used to be about how our experience shapes us. I’m slogging through, of course beginning with our nature which requires us to look at infancy. You will like my treatment of ‘psychic agency’ which is how we find our own way out of depression. https://homecookedanalysis.substack.com/

How nice how your father responded when he saw your doodles. They're composed of simple shapes but make a visually interesting whole. Plus the story behind it.

For contrast, when my parents saw my illustrations, their faces were expression-less and the first words were clearly signalling that they had no idea what they are good for! It took some conditioning from my side to get those faces soften and relax :))

I'm glad you eventually got those faces relaxed. My dad is a professional photographer so maybe he was viewing it from an artiste's perspective, maybe...I'm glad you enjoyed the post. Thank you.
